How to Configure Payroll for Hotel Staff

Set up salary structures, allowances, and payslips for your hotel employees.

Managing payroll for hotel staff — including shift allowances, service charge distribution, and overtime — can be complex. Odoo Payroll simplifies this with configurable salary rules.

Employee Setup

Go to Employees → Employees. Create employee profiles with department, job position, and contract details.

Salary Structures

Under Payroll → Configuration → Salary Structures, create structures for different employee types (Front Desk, Housekeeping, Restaurant).

Payslip Generation

At month end, go to Payroll → Payslips → Generate Payslips. Select the period, choose employees, and generate all payslips in one click.

Service Charge

Configure a service charge rule that distributes a percentage of revenue to eligible staff automatically each month.
